Recurrent Decay Around Restoration

A dental restoration carries a high risk of harboring recurring decay. It may be underneath the filling or crown, or around the margins (edges) of the restoration. Dr. Larsen and your Hygienist will look for the signs of decay, but they may be hidden beneath the restoration where even a dental x-ray will not be able to see the decay.
