Peri-Implant Mucositis

Peri-implant Mucositis is a reversible inflammatory process in the soft tissue surrounding a dental implant without the loss of marginal bone beyond normal resorption. Generally peri-implant mucositis is a precursor to peri-implantitis. Evidence suggests that peri-implant mucositis may be successfully treated and is reversible if caught early.
