If you are finally going to do something about that space between your front teeth call Xceptional Dental. With modern dentistry and Invisalign® you won’t have to resort to wires and brackets to have a straight and healthy smile.

With Invisalign® that space will disappear in as little as 12 months. Most patients see results in about 18 months.

What is Invisalign®?

This remarkable cosmetic dental solution consists of a series of clear plastic aligners that you swap out throughout your treatment plan.

Most patients are custom fitted with between 11 and 31 sets of aligners. However, some patients will only require 20 while others may be prescribed 50 sets of Invisalign® aligners that are changed every 7 to 14 days. Of course this is dependent on your customized Invisalign® blueprint.

Made from a patented human grade dental plastic the aligners are so thin and clear no one will be the wiser about your cosmetic dentistry procedure, except for you and Dr. Janette Larsen of course.

How Does Invisalign® Work?

You will wear your aligners for 22 hours a day. The only time you take them out is when you eat, drink, brush and floss. As previously mentioned you’ll swap for a new set every one to two weeks.

The aligners are made to gently push your teeth into the desired position. Unlike conventional braces, which must be adjusted every two weeks, Invisalign® is the less stressful way to straighten teeth and best of all, it’s better for them as well.

You’ll need to visit Xceptional Dental in San Diego every six to ten weeks to make sure that your clear braces plan is on track.

Are Clear Braces for Everyone?

While most people are great candidates for invisible braces, people with severe issues, such as an extreme under or over bite, will probably fare better with more conventional solutions such as wires and brackets.

Every set of aligners is custom made to slowly move into the next position. Every time you put in a new aligner your teeth will be straighter and straighter until they have landed into the final resting spot.
